Dangerous Goods officers from the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety will be at upcoming agricultural shows to provide relevant and topical safety information.
The Department says its officers will be at the Mingenew Midwest Expo on 15 August, Newdegate Machinery Field Days on the 5 and 6 September and Albany Agricultural Show from 10 to 11 November.
The officers will be available to provide information and guidance on a range of dangerous goods topics.
Dangerous Goods Director Ross Stidolph said the events were an excellent opportunity for the department to connect with the Western Australian farming community.
“Dangerous Goods officers from the department will be available to provide information and guidance to people attending these events,” Mr Stidolph said.
“Information and guidance about rural transport and storage requirements for dangerous goods, including ammunition, and the importance of restraining and segregating dangerous goods will be available at our display.”
