An elderly man has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after falling from a height north of Gympie.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the scene just after 11 o’clock Tuesday morning.
It’s believed the man, aged in his 80s, had been working in a shed when he slipped and fell approximately three metres.
The man suffered serious head injuries.
Paramedics stabilised the man at the scene before he was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
