Injured horse rider airlifted to hospital

A man who was bucked off, then trampled by a horse in southeast Queensland has been airlifted to hospital by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.

The chopper was called to a private property in Mt Kilcoy area just after 9am Sunday morning.

The man, aged in his 20s, suffered injuries to his upper body, after the animal reportedly stood on him.

He was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
