An Elliot Heads man has been airlifted to hospital following a workplace incident at Boondooma Dam, west of Murgon Thursday morning.
The 33-year-old man was pushed by a 7-tonne air compressor onto a structure of reinforcement steel. The structure then rolled over him, causing lower limb injuries.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew was called to the scene shortly before 7.20am.
The patient was treated at the scene by the LifeFlight critical care doctor before being flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
