Man airlifted after quad bike fall

A man suffered serious injuries to his chest after a fall from a quad bike in northern New South Wales Friday.

The man, aged in his 50s, was airlifted to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital following the incident at a property, about 100 km north of Armidale.

He arrived in a stable condition.

There have been six fatalities on quad bikes in Australia in 2017: four in New South Wales and one each in Victoria and Queensland.
