A man has been airlifted to hospital after being struck by a tree he was cutting down in north-east New South Wales.
Police and emergency services were called to the incident at a Blue Knob property shortly before 11am on Wednesday morning.
Ambulance paramedics said the man in his 50s suffered chest and arm injuries after a tree fell on him.
The man was stabilised at the scene by ambulance paramedics.
He was later flown to Gold Coast University Hospital by the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter.
