A man was airlifted from a property north-west of Wondai after he fell from his horse on Wednesday.
The man in his 70s reportedly suffered a head injury as a result of the fall.
He was flown to hospital by the LifeFlight rescue helicopter.
Statistics show one worker is hospitalised each day due to a horse-related injury. Between 2000 and 2012, 98 people have been killed in horse-related incidents in Australia.
Developing clear, simple and effective safe work procedures can play an important part
in helping people interact with horses safely.
