A 40-year-old man is recovering in hospital after his hands were severed in an industrial incident in southern Queensland.
The incident happened on Monday morning.
The man was working at a mushroom farm near the Queensland-New South Wales border when his hands and arms became trapped in machinery.
Paramedics were called to the incident shortly before 8am.
Reports indicated the man’s hands were severed below his elbows.
He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in serious condition.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is investigating the incident.
