WorkSafe Tasmania released a safety guide to help the family, friends and work colleagues of someone who has died in a workplace incident.
‘After a Workplace Death’ is a new guide written with the agencies involved in investigating or handling a workplace death, including the Coroner’s Court, Tasmania Police, and Director of Public Prosecutions.
The guide provides practical advice on handling financial and administrative matters such as which government departments to advise and what to do about wills, superannuations, and any media interests. It also provides resources for emotional support.
The ‘After a Workplace Death guide is available for download on WorkSafe Tasmania’s website.
