THE NSW Resources Regulator has launched an investigation into an incident that occurred at the Tritton Copper Mine near Nyngan around 4:30pm on Saturday afternoon.
The Resources Regulator deployed inspectors to the site after an incident that involved a fire on a haul truck in the decline to the underground workings of the mine.
A number of workers had to retreat to an underground refuge chamber, but all were safely returned to the surface by 2am Sunday.
No one was injured during the incident.
