Quad bike crash leaves man in critical condition

A man is in a critical condition at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital following a quad bike crash.

The 27 year-old-man suffered serious arm injuries following the incident on Monday morning.

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter picked the man up from Bundaberg airport, where they then flew him to hospital.

He travelled in a critical condition.

Quad bikes are a leading cause of death on Australian farms. Since 2001, there have been more than 230 quad bike related deaths in Australia. On average, 15 people are killed each year in Australia while using quad bikes.
