A quad bike crash on a rural property in Gympie has left a man and a woman in a hospital with serious injuries.

Paramedics were called to the incident shortly after 7am on Wednesday morning.

The patients suffered serious chest and back injuries and were treated at the scene before being rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
